I'm angry and upset and think it's unfair when it comes to ticketing parked cars!

Dear Editor:

I am fifth of six generations in Hoboken and have seen mayors come and go, different people moving in and out, laws changing as administrations change. I am very proud to be a part of the history of Hoboken's people, yet I am extremely upset and angry with the way things are being handled pertaining to the Hoboken Parking Utility.

My son has a permit for his car (business); instead of himdouble parking the car for 10 minutes while he ran in the house, he parked the car, ran in and by the time he went back out, he was booted and ticketed. Do these people have nothing better to do than ticket a parked car?

Go on Washington Street, or 9th and Clinton by Applied Housing, and boot all the illegal double parked cars there. I find this unjust and appalling. If you are to do a job, don't single out certain areas, do it entirely or not at all.

Does this City need the $140 so desperately from residents, instead of visitors that do not have permits, or that park their cars with out-of-state plates for weeks on end? Where are the Parking Utility hound dogs there...it's unfair and frankly a bit sickening.
