According to a website on wildlife in Hudson County maintained by a Jersey City resident, raccoons may very well be the most commonly observed wild mammal throughout the county, because of their love of garbage. Though their cute faces and furry tails may be tempting, they are extremely powerful (often rabid) animals with sharp teeth and claws.
