Much has changed and changed for the betterment of Hoboken. As election time draws near I expect that more and more anti-Zimmer Administration anti-reform comments will be made by relatives and friends of former mayor Anthony Russo. You may recall Mr. Russo was convicted and jailed for his crimes against the people of Hoboken while in office, and at the time his cousin Mrs. Castellano found her way on to the City Council.
boy the old guard are really going all out to try and make sure mayor zimmer is not re-elected? which of course is not going to happen as the mayor has actually done a decent job even with ms. castellano (russo cousin) doing everything in her power to vote against anything productive for the community. what the old guard don't understand is that the population of hoboken has changed over the years. we will not accept corruption or anything that even seems slightly unethical or unprofessional behavior (which the russos display every week in the city council meetings). the mayor is not perfect but there is no comparison to any other candidates out there so the community will be happy to vote for her again so she can finish the job.
How truew, this is an administration of smoke and mirrors. Such a shame because there was souch promise and Zimmer turned out to be no different than anyone. (Maybe juast more cold, vindsictive and calculating... must have read Boss Hague's playbook.)

Mr. Ribot, Have you considered joining forces with Hoboken Fair Housing Assn? They are working to maintain rent control policies and keep Hoboken affordable for all. As to your belief that there are enough people in the same situation to swing an election - you are correct. That's why in November's election, Hoboken Public Question #2 (the question that asked voters if they wanted to keep rent control) won by over 500 votes. But it didn't matter. The legitimate votes of 16,644 residents was thrown out by a judge who bought the false evidence that the deep-pocketed MSTA presented. When you can't win fair-and-square, big development money just buys the laws they need.
Faye Krupski says she would like to reach out to us. In part she is correct in her viewpoint. But when she writes in part, “I also have the right to not turn on red if I choose to, so you’d better hope you don’t get stuck driving behind me” She is being a total jerk. The law allows right on red for many reasons among which standing when not necessary is wasting fuel and adding to pollution and global warming un-necessarily. It is also rude to cause other people who have things to do and places to go to be delayed by her antics. So overall I would have to say Faye, you are a big jerk. There is far more to safe driving than you understand. Faye, take the Smith System safe driver course.
